This past Saturday my friends and family joined me in celebrating the upcoming arrival of our twins! The day was fun filled and it was great visiting with everyone. I want to thank everyone who came and also those who helped Shane and I get started with the arrival of our babies. We are truly grateful. Also, a big thank you goes out to those who hosted such a wonderful party, my sister Mary and my friends Debbie, Angela, Kim, and Sue. Thank you ladies, I will never forget it!

Latest News

Here is the latest from The Rathbun Home Front. As many of you already know, Shane and I have been in the middle of a move. Well we are officially moved in and we are getting settled into our new home. We love it! We are still in the same area as we were previously, just in a different suburb, Mount Prospect. I am really excited as it is only 5-10 minutes from my work!!! I finally get the short commute :) .
Things are also progressing well in regards to the babies. We just had our last checkup yesterday and everything is good! The babies are kicking and moving around like crazy. I always heard how great that feeling is and now I know. I enjoy everytime one of them moves around or gives me a punch or a kick!
Here is a picture of me in the nursery. Our furniture just got delivered yesterday and with the help of some friends, Shane was able to paint the nursery before we moved in this week.

He Said, He Said....

Yes the verdict is in...Shane and I are expecting twin boys!!! We just had our ultrasound today to find out the news. Everything else checked out good! Both babies are doing just fine. We couldn't be happier with the news. Now we can finally work on names and all that fun stuff that goes along with knowing what you are having.

AKA- The Rathbun Family! After a few years of thinking about starting a blog, my sister finally motivated me to do it! We have great reason to start our blog as well. This will be a great way for our family and friends to keep up with the latest and greatest from our little family, soon to be bigger family! Yes, as most of you already know we are very excited to be awaiting the arrival of not one... but two babies. Yes twins! Shane and I are expecting our new additions in February 2009! We want to thank all of you who have kept us in your thoughts and prayers. Here is a sneak preview of our little ones!
